Two New Faculty Join St. George Academy
Washington, Utah March 14, 2017 – In conjunction with building curriculum, St. George Academy continues to identify and hire exceptionally qualified new faculty including its newest additions, Mr. Noah Mackenroth and Mrs Michelene Perez.
Mr. Mackenroth is joining the social sciences faculty as an instructor of Government, Civics, and special seminars. He holds a Master’s degree in Cross-Cultural education and has worked extensively as an educator and advisor of educational theory, curriculum, and future trends in education to numerous charter schools and home school groups in California. While attending CSU Sacramento, Mr. Mackenroth began restoring high-grade watches in his spare time, and after graduating with a degree in Business Administration, Mr. Mackenroth moved to Neuchatel, Switzerland where he studied watchmaking at the prestigious Centre de Perfectionnement Horloger on a scholarship by the leading Swiss watch manufacturers. He is excited about the opportunity to help each individual student in becoming the best they can possibly be.
Ms. Perez is joining the English faculty as an instructor of literature and creative writing. Michelene grew up in Southern Utah and graduated from Tuacahn High School. She finished her undergraduate degree from Dixie State University followed by her Masters Degree from Baker University. She is in her fifth year of teaching at the university level.She has been a member of the Department of English at Dixie State University and the Developmental Studies program. She sees learning as a collaborative experience among students and between students and teacher. She has a passion for enhancing student learning, and finds that that is best accomplished with a mix of traditional and innovative teaching methods. Ms. Perez anticipates learning in along with this generation of internationally-minded students.

I am really excited about how this is coming together to realize our goal of being a positive educational environment for students in Southern Utah.”
Board President, Neil Walter, added, “We are making great progress toward realizing our vision for St. George Academy. We could never be successful without the right people becoming part of the faculty. This two individuals joining the school are a tremendous addition.”
